Vaccines for Students - Social Media Toolkit
Students are at increased risk of infectious diseases like meningitis, septicaemia, and measles. These diseases spread easily in universities and colleges, as students mix closely with others from around the country and overseas. The new term for Scottish universities and colleges is an important opportunity to remind students of free vaccinations provided by NHSScotland.
To help raise awareness, Public Health Scotland has developed a social media toolkit with assets and captions for universities, colleges, health boards and other stakeholders to share on your social media channels.
The toolkit also includes suggested copy for email, newsletter and text messages, for universities and colleges to communicate directly with students. Digital screens have also been made available to use on campus and throughout freshers week.
We encourage you to use these resources at the earliest opportunity, to ensure students are up-to-date with their vaccines before they arrive back at university or college.
All resources are available to download here.
Please feed these social media assets into your planned activity using the hashtag #Vaccines4Students.
To get the campaign underway, we’ve posted on the following PHS social media channels. Sharing and liking the below posts is a great way to help raise awareness.
