Flu vaccine - Social care worker toolkit
Social care workers who are in direct contact with people are eligible for the free flu vaccine this year.
Flu hits hard, and for some, it hits harder. Flu was widespread across Scotland last winter, and almost 5,000 adults needed hospital treatment. Despite this, flu vaccine uptake among social care workers, an at-risk group, remained low. Staff are encouraged to take up the offer to help protect themselves and the people they care for.
This social media toolkit provides assets and captions to use across your social media channels. We have also provided suggested copy for emails, websites and newsletters so you can communicate directly with social care staff.

Please regularly feed these social media assets into your planned activity using the hashtag #FluHitsHarder. Using the campaign hashtag is important as it allows us to monitor usage, which informs future campaigns.
