COVID-19 Vaccine (Spring) Digital Screen

COVID-19 vaccine spring social media toolkit

Letters, texts and emails are now being sent to those who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine this spring as their level of protection may have reduced since their last vaccination.

COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. Last summer, over 4,000 people were hospitalised due to COVID-19 in Scotland. The virus is more serious in older adults and in people with weakened immune systems. That’s why a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is being offered this spring to:

  • residents in care homes for older adults
  • adults aged 75 years and over on 30 June 2025 (i.e. born on or before 30 June 1950)
  • people aged 6 months and over (by 31 March 2025) with a weakened immune system.

To help raise awareness of the COVID-19 vaccine programme and encourage those eligible to get vaccinated, Public Health Scotland has created a social media toolkit with assets and captions to share on your social media channels. Email, newsletter and website copy is also available to download, alongside digital screens.

All resources can be downloaded on the PHS Marketing Resource Centre

Please regularly feed these social media assets into your planned activity using the hashtag #SpringTopUp. Using the campaign hashtag is important as it allows us to monitor usage, which informs future campaigns.
