Bowel Screening Social Media Toolkit
In Scotland, bowel cancer is the third most common cancer and the second most common cause of death due to cancer. That’s why it’s important that those eligible (those aged 50 to 74) use the screening test kit sent to their home. It aims to find cancer at an early stage when treatment is likely to be more effective.
It’s Bowel Cancer Awareness Month (April) so to help raise awareness of the importance of bowel screening, Public Health Scotland (PHS) has created a social media toolkit with assets and captions to share on your social media channels.
All resources can be downloaded via the Marketing Resource Centre. Please regularly feed these social media assets into your planned activity using the hashtag #BowelScreeningScotland. Using the campaign hashtag is important as it allows us to monitor usage, which informs future campaigns.
These resources can be used all year round. For more information about bowel screening visit www.nhsinform.scot/bowelscreening
In addition, Bowel Cancer UK has developed a social media toolkit specifically for the awareness month with additional assets which you may also want to use during April. Throughout the month PHS will also post about the awareness month. We’d really appreciate if you can engage with the content by liking or sharing to help spread our message even further.
Your support is much appreciated.
